The WA Whole of Government ICT Strategy is intended to provide a roadmap to the future, defining where the sector will be in terms of using ICT over the planning period. It will be developed using the expertise and experience of the CIOs, IT Managers and others in the WA Public Sector, together with assistance from selected external consultants.
The WA Whole of Government ICT Strategy will identify the information services which should be delivered to meet organisational aims and objectives, and the means or mechanisms whereby these services will be delivered.
The objectives of the WA Whole of Government ICT Strategy exercise are to:
- Publish a WA Whole of Government ICT Strategy approved by WA Cabinet.
- Provide direction and a framework for WA Government agencies in the governance, management, provision and use of ICT.
- Document an action and work plan to achieve WA Government’s strategic ICT objectives, defining the transition from the current ‘as-is’ state to the preferred ‘to-be’ state within the planning period.
More information on the implementation of the WA Whole of Government ICT Strategy will be available on this website soon.
